DSiWare: Space Invaders Extreme Z Out On DSiWare In Japan

spaceinvadersz.jpg

It standard Japanese fashion, Taito have unveiled a digital download version of their Space Invader Extreme series for the Nintendo DS, and have released it on the same day.

This version of Space Invaders Extreme features many of the gameplay mechanics of Extreme 2, but will only include 3 courses, but will have time attack and score attack variations of each.

For only 500 Nintendo Points it's not a bad, though the full version of the original did make it onto the Xbox Live Arcade for only $10 - and even if you're remotely interested in Space Invaders Exteme you can get either for $20 of less in the US. Still a great game, but I would probably recommend getting the retail version over this download.

There is currently no date or announcement of a version in the US, but expect it to pop up in the next few months.
