WiiWare: Phalanx Gets WiiWare Port, Banjo Not Included

Any excuse to use that packshot.

The Japanese Game Watch website has revealed that the classic SNES shooter will be returning to the Wii - but as a WiiWare title.

Zoom Inc, who were the developers of the original Sharp X68000 version of the game, will also be developing this version. It will be entirely based on the X68000 version and not the SNES version, and will also include a few minor tweaks to the original design.

The game will retail for 500 Nintendo Points when it's released in Japan this Winter, no word of a worldwide release just yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it does pop up sooner or later.
