PSN Minis: The Red Star Coming To PSP

The German rating board continues to do what it does best by revealing that The Red Star will be making its way to the PSP.

The Red Star has had a troubled history - originally to be released on the Xbox and PS2, it was forever delayed due to publisher Acclaim's demise, but the PS2 game was finally released courtesy of XS Games back in 2007 and received excellent scores.

Earlier this year it was rumored that the game was also coming to PSP thanks to the game popping up on retail websites, but nothing had been heard of it since. Now the game has been rated by both the the German USK and the Australian Classification Operations Branch.

While this could very well be a retail release, going by their catalog XS games haven't released anything all year, and this is also one of their first games which they've rated themselves on the Aussie COB, which based on prior experience usually means a digital release.

As the game was a 2-player brawler, we would hope the game includes Ad-Hoc multiplayer, which would mean it would be a PSP PSN exclusive. Hopefully we will get an official announcement soon.
