PSN Minis: Thexder NEO Revealed, Out In Two Weeks

Square Enix have added the official page of Thexder Neo to their Japanese website, complete with the first trailer of the game in action.

Going by the trailer, the game has beaten the odds and made it from 1985 in tact and better than ever. I was a little worried that the game would be too slow and weird, but Square-Enix have done a fantastic job here. They appear to have taken the Bionic Commando Rearmed approach - keep it straight forward and simple enhance it.

The game is set to be released worldwide on October 1st - the launch day of PSP minis, for the equivelant of $10. It appears that this is not coming to the PS3 at this time, and for now is PSP only.

Comments

I was told, NOT a PSP Mini game. PSN, not Mini.

I loved the original Thexder game way, way back for the PC. Wish this game was coming for the Xbox LIVE Arcade.

According to www.siliconera.com it will have "an online mode that supports up to six players". This would exclude it from being a PSP Mini. I guess it's just a coincident that it's being released 1st October.
