DSiWare: PopCap To Release BookWorm, Bejeweled Blitz To DSiWare

BOOKBEJ.jpg

Earlier this year PopCap detailed plans to bring their classic Bookworm and Bejeweled titles to the Nintendo DS. Now it has been revealed that they will also be releasing pocket-sized DSiWare versions alongside them.

The DSiWare version of Bookworm will include the complete Classic mode, very much like the iPhone version of Bookworm, while the retail version will include additional multiplayer modes, collectable books and numerous additional features.

Bejeweled Twist on the other hand will include the classic and multiplayer modes, while the retail release will include addition Zen, Blitz and Challenge modes. This will also be the first time Bejeweled Twist has been ported over to a console - but don't be surprised if it pops up on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network at a later date.

While we would usually be against the numerous Express styled games we've been seeing on DSiWare, both these games make perfect sense for quick and easy pickup gaming on your DS.

Bookworm is set to be released later this month, while Bejeweled Twist will hit DSiWare in the middle of October.
