DSiWare: DSiWare Becoming The Place For Shmups?

zonewonder.png

Japanese studio Genterprise are on a mission, a mission to release small DSiWare titles released at the low, low price of 200 Nintendo Points. Today they have revealed G.G Wonder Story and G.G Zone, two new shmups coming to the DSi.

Wonder Story is a vertical shooter which, somehow, is based off of Alice in Wonderland, while Zone is a side scrolling shooter where you can shoot in 8 directions.

Earlier this month Japan also received Aa Mujou Setsuna, another vertical shooter made by an Arika / Nintendo collaboration. While Japanese developers have spoken previously about the difficulties getting their titles, and specifically shooters, onto the Xbox Live Arcade, it appears DSiWare is having no such trouble.

While none of their games have been revealed for the Western audience, it's certainly better than all this silly express stuff we've been seeing. Hopefully we'll be getting it soon.
