XBLA: Dream-Build-Play '09 Showcase - Parasitus

Parasitus is an action 2D platformer with many similarities to Metroid, Castlevania and the old Factor 5 game Turrican. It's been in development for quite a while but missed out on the competition last year.

It's looking great so far - check out their blog (which hasn't been updated in a while) to keep tabs on this game.

I am surprised and happy to see this is still in development. They tried to submit to DBP last year but didn't find out it was 360 builds only until about the last couple days of entry. Oops, remember to read contest rules thoroughly ;-)

Thanks for the continued dpb news. The big indie gaming sites have been pathetic on xna coverage.

possibly because the indie gaming sites try to cover only good games

Which includes plenty of XNA games. Indiegamer agrees with me since they recently said they will be covering more XNA stuff.

whoa! i remember this from when it was a lot more castlevania, featured in the old castlevania dungeon forums. i thought it was gonna be for PC! i used to post on the threads about it all the time! was gonna do some music for it, but never got the time. seems that efin isn't any more either. since then i got a job actually working in the industry. hope this goes somewhere! good luck ringo (choada?) n thadd!
