WiiWare: GDC '09: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years Finally Confirmed For WiiWare

ffivafterscreen.jpg

We've been talking about it for a while, but Square Enix have finally revealed Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is coming exclusively to WiiWare.

Unlike Square Enix's Crystal Defenders, this port from phone to consoles has had a little more care taken into its development as it will feature true widescreen support.

The game follows Ceodore, who is the son of FFIV's heroes Cecil and Rosa as you follow your player through the world on his own adventure, meeting other characters old and new.

The official site is currently up, but there is little information available on it. Worthplaying has gotten its hands on several screenshots of the game, which you can view here.
