WiiWare: OFLC Update: 'Maboshi: The Three Shape Arcade', and 'Sonic 1' Master System?

Update: Yes, this certainly is a WiiWare title. It is a localisation of the Japanese title 'Katachi no Game: Maru Bou Shikaku'! Thank you GoNintendo!

Tuesday's OFLC Update brings us a... bizarre addition - something that could possibly be a WiiWare title - Maboshi: The Three Shape Arcade.

The reason for possibly being a WiiWare title is that... well, I can't find anything about it! Nothing of the sort comes up on Google, and the company behind it - "Mindware Corp.", has little information about it. The only Japanese source for the name I could find was http://pinball.co.jp/, which is copyrighted by the company.

The name Mikito Ichikawa also shows up, and all I can find is that he was a little involved with some early 90's SEGA games, like being the 'planner' for Streets Of Rage 2. Possibly another Japanese game to add to the 'Hanabi Festival' but I can't see anything about this anywhere. Not even a ROM! Nothing similar seems to be coming out on the Japanese Virtual Console either.

The second addition was... Sonic The Hedgehog? While already on the OFLC due to the Virtual Console version, it's been added again, completely separate from the original, and separate again from the Xbox 360 / PS3 abomination.

There is only one explanation I can think of - It's the Master System version of Sonic 1! Hopefully that's true, as then we can get the MS version of Sonic 2 and Sonic Chaos as well!
