XBLA: Review Wrap-up - Frogger 2

Few reviewed Frogger 2, and it's not hard to see why. This XBLA title, which essentially 'popped up' one day, looks and feels like a cheap flash game. With frustrating controls and a poor general style, it's no wonder the game didn't make it to the top 10 of it's release.

One of the most frustrating bits about the game is that you're required to change the direction Frogger faces separately from the steps Frogger will make, but it's done with the Xbox bumper buttons. You know what would have really helped the game? Allowing the player to control the current direction with the second analog stick instead. It would have worked! Why didn't they do this? Too late now, I suppose.

Makes me worry about the unannounced Beat'n Groovy which is also being made by Voltex and looks to be going down the same PR slide that Frogger 2 did, aka nothing nada zip.
